Get ready for a truly unforgettable flight!

We’ll head south over the Strzelecki Ranges – on a clear day, you can see the ocean and mountains of Wilsons Promontory in the distance while we are still over the ranges. As we continue south enjoy the undulating landscape of South Gippsland dotted with farms, plantations, roads, and rural townships. Soon, the outline of Corner Inlet, with its many islands and waterways, will become clear.

After 20 minutes, we’ll reach the coast. Look east to see the sand and surf of the 90 Mile Beach stretching as far as the eye can see. We’ll turn west to fly over stunning Corner Inlet, taking in its many islands, winding waterways, and brilliant waters in shades of aquamarine and blue. Little, wiggly creeks feed into the wetlands, while small holiday towns dot the coastline, creating a beautiful blend of land and sea. In the distance, the mountains of Wilsons Promontory provide a picture-perfect backdrop in shades of blue.

After this coastal journey, we’ll return back over the foothills and ranges of the Strzeleckis, flying near Tarra-Bulga National Park, before arriving back at base.

All flight paths are subject to weather conditions on the day, and may be varied a little to achieve the best experience and view for passengers.

Listed as a World Ramsar site (a wetland of international importance), Corner Inlet is not just beautiful to see from the air but also home to unique flora and fauna, particularly special for being the most southerly mangrove ecosystem on the Australian mainland and a critical habitat to millions of migratory wader birds (roughly 50% of Victoria’s overwintering population).

Big Sky Helicopters private helipad in Hazelwood North. An easy 15 minute drive from Traralgon, Morwell or the freeway.
The departure location address will be included with your booking confirmation email.

Check-in details

Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled departure to complete paperwork, be weighed, and attend the pre-flight safety briefing.

All passengers must present a valid photo ID at check‑in.

Complimentary parking is available at our departure location.

What to bring

Photo ID
Comfortable clothing suitable for the weather on the day.
Enclosed toe, non-slip footwear is recommended.
Sunglasses, sunscreen and a cap.
Camera or phone to take photos of your experience.

Special requirements

Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Steps may be required to enter the helicopter. Passengers must be able to safely board and exit the aircraft with minimal assistance.
Please let us know in advance of any mobility issues or medical conditions so we can accommodate you where possible.

Restrictions

Pregnant passengers in the third trimester should consult their doctor before flying.

Not recommended for passengers with severe motion sickness, heart conditions, recent surgery, or vertigo.

Space is limited; no large bags or bulky items are permitted onboard.

Smoking and alcohol is not permitted on board.

Is there a weight limit?

Weight and size limits apply for safety reasons - maximum passenger weight is 120kg.

Please provide current passenger weights when booking, passengers may be weighed as part of the check-in process.
